This 4-week experiential and educational series uses breathing techniques that will help you relax, regulate your mental & emotional states, improve oxygen & blood flow, decrease aches & pains, improve your posture and increase your lung capacity for exercise & sport.
The goal of this series is to give you the tools to improve the efficiency of your breathing for whatever individual goals you may have.

December 1st-December 22nd
December 1: Self-Assessment & Parasympathetic Breathing
Class 1 starts with a guided self-assessment of your breathing and moves into psychophysiological properties by using your breath to help you regulate your mental and emotional states.
Self-Assessments: Hi-Lo, Total Lung Capacity, Functional Residual Capacity, Body Scanning
Parasympathetic Nervous System activation and conscious relaxation
Neck & shoulder relaxation; directing air into your belly & pelvic floor
December 8: Elevator & Maximum Expansive Breathing
Class 2 will focus on improving biomechanical properties such as blood, lymph and air flow. This class will particularly benefit folks with circulation or musculoskeletal issues, or if you partake in exercise or sport.
Direct more air in & out of your lungs & rib cage
Increase diaphragmatic activity & strength
Improve Intra Abdominal Pressure
December 15: Breath Holds & Active Breathing
Class 3 will address biochemical properties by working to positively affect blood gases like O2 and CO2 along with pH levels. You will learn strategies to increase your total lung capacity and functional residual capacity.
Create stability at your waist for a killer abdominal workout
Progress diaphragmatic activity & strength using breath holds
Calm your mind and finding comfort in difficult situations
December 22: Fine-Tune & Level-Up
Class 4 will be a cumulative review of the first 3 weeks while progressing on these principles.
Stabilize your spine, pelvis & rib cage while lighting up your deep core musculature
Improve your ability to get more air into your ribs & lungs
Challenge different positions
